VCCP London expands its new commercial department with two senior management hires

VCCP Group, the global challenger network for challenger brands, today announced two significant hires, signaling additional investment in the global agency’s New Business arm. VCCP London welcomes Nick Goff as Group Head of Business Development and Becky Marsh as Head of New Business, VCCP Media.

In their new roles, Nick and Becky will report to the agency’s Director of Global Growth, Stephanie Brimacombe, and the two will start immediately. The new hires will bolster VCCP’s reputation as the UK’s most successful integrated communications agency following a series of new commercial deals for VCCP, including Virgin Media O2, Old El Paso, Dogs Trust, Thames Water, Sage and LinkedIn. The pair will be responsible for leading VCCP’s new business arm across its global network and attracting brands that share VCCP’s challenger attitude.

As Director of Global Business Development, Nick brings with him over a decade of agency new business experience, winning contracts with clients across a wide range of industries including FMCG, Beverage and retail. Most recently, Nick served as Global Head of New Business Role at The Marketing Store, while running Carlsberg’s pioneering social content “newsroom” and leading the D&AD-winning adidas Glitch project. In his new commercial role, he played a key role in helping his colleagues achieve their account growth ambitions, while leading successful presentations for the loyalty platform of O2 Priority, H&M, LNER and Vue. Goff also chairs the New Business Group for the Alliance of Independent Agencies. At VCCP, Nick will be responsible for the organic growth of existing clients across multiple markets within the group.

Nick Goff, Director of Global Business Development, said, “Everyone is looking with envy at the agency’s new business prowess. But I was struck by the comment from an ex-colleague and current VCCP client that their account management is “sh*t hot”. Blending these two arts in this new role is going to be fascinating, and that’s why I’m thrilled to join Steph’s team.

Becky joins VCCP with a decade of experience as a new business and marketing specialist, working with Group M’s agency, Wavemaker. Becky started her career in 2013 working for Wavemaker in the UK, and three years later moved to Wavemaker Australia where she has spent the last 6.5 years leading new business and marketing for the one of Australia’s largest media agencies. Becky is passionate about business development and over the years has helped win and retain multiple clients in various categories. Becky recently returned home to join VCCP where she will be responsible for leading new business and marketing for VCCP Media, the media division of VCCP Group.

Becky Marsh, Head of New Business at VCCP Media, said, “I have long admired VCCP’s incredible work as a global network, and I’m thrilled to be working closely with VCCP Media to drive the growth of the company. Our challenger attitude and integrated offering really sets us apart, it’s such an exciting time for the agency and I can’t wait to be part of the journey.

Commenting on the new hires, Stephanie Brimacombe, Director of Global Growth, added: “VCCP continues to go from strength to strength and I am incredibly proud of our position as the UK’s top performing agency for winning new business. Nick and Becky are both leading practitioners in their fields and are testament to the continued focus we place as a business on winning customers who share our challenger values. Nick and Becky bring an impressive wealth of experience and expertise to the team both at home and abroad, and it is a pleasure to welcome them to the VCCP family.
