Lenis’ Island Seafood owner Rusiate Naulivou said that after hotels and resorts closed, they lost their only source of income.

Naulivou says that over time with no indication of normalcy, he began to lose hope.

“There came a time when I told my wife that there was nothing else we could do, I really gave up hope, we gave up hope but on the other hand, it got us. gave the courage not to sit idly by, we have our qualification from a hotel school and we can use it.

Naulivou’s wife Eleni says the family are now considering expanding their business in the future.

She adds that trading seafood online has given them hope and that they are now also considering exporting seafood.
