New business opens in Kilkenny as McTivities cuts ribbon on toy store premises

A new business opened in the Hebron industrial area in Kilkenny over the weekend: Educational and sensory toy specialist McTivities has teamed up with Huggable Home to open their new boutique just in time for Christmas.

Emma McGuinness and Denise Simpson developed and built a business during the lockdown, trading online and at the Mountain View Marketplace in Ballyhale, where they met and decided to open a physical store.

“We were honored that Mayor Andrew McGuinness cut the ribbon, not only as a representative of the public but also as a brother-in-law, it meant a lot,” said Emma McGuinness.

The motto of the McTivities toy store is “learn through play”. Emma takes pride in sourcing high quality educational, sensory and wooden toys that let children’s imaginations run wild. Children have fun while working on major developmental skills.

Denise of Huggable Home promises to bring color and fun to every home by creating her own line of colorful and comfy hats and scarves and also bringing the most incredible range of gifts, housewares and gifts to life. unique, bright and fun accessories.

“I was delighted to cut the ribbon for this fantastic new venture. The two girls’ businesses really complement each other and they are delighted to provide you with a one-stop-shop this Christmas, where you can buy gifts for children and adults under one roof, ”said Mayor Andrew McGuinness.

The store is located in the Hebron industrial area, just after Aldi.
