Contact centers and seamless integration of UC products were at the forefront of Enterprise Connect.
Leaders representing Microsoft Teams, Cisco Collaboration, Amazon Web Services, Zoom, RingCentral, and Google Cloud delivered keynote addresses at Enterprise Connect this week. Although the topics were diverse, some common themes emerged. Several speakers discussed the importance of the contact center to their companies’ business models. This has left the public wondering when other companies will create tools to compete for contact center business.
To say that the pandemic influenced many of the products on display at the conference would be an understatement. Speakers touched on this in keynote speeches, explaining that the future of work is a hybrid model. Moreover, the solutions that their companies offer today are adapted to this reality. It could be a virtual receptionist, a seamless Webex experience in an electric vehicle, or a highlight video that employees can watch from a missed meeting.
However, one speaker summed up this era best by sticking to the basics of business.
“We really have to listen to customers to make sure we bridge that gap between what’s there now and what’s coming in the future,” he said.
