LOS ANGELES, Oct. 20, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — MGA Entertainment (MGA), one of the world’s largest and fastest growing privately held toy and entertainment companies, celebrates the 21st anniversary of the global phenomenon Bratz® with new product launches and partnerships across all categories in October. Since its debut in 2001, Bratz has taken the global toy and fashion industries by storm with its unwavering commitment to inclusivity, self-expression and, of course, its passion for fashion. Today, the brand is more popular than ever, maintaining its cultural relevance and celebrating its community of fans who grew up loving inclusive dolls and found inspiration in their beloved “it” girl attitudes over the years. decades.

MGA has teamed up with fashion brand Cult Gaia to celebrate Bratz’s 21st anniversary and Cult Gaia’s 10th anniversary, as well as to pay tribute to the unique bond between the two brands. Twenty-one years ago, when Jasmin Larian Hekmat was just 12 years old, her father, Isaac Larian, founder and CEO of MGA Entertainment, asked for his help with early Bratz doll concepts. Today, as the founder and CEO of Cult Gaia, Jasmin credits much of her creative influence to her time designing miniature collections for dolls, and while focusing on the fashion brand, she remains close of Bratz as creative director of the line of dolls today.

New this year, the iconic pair joined a ready-to-wear line launched in early 2022. The line featured Y2K elements infused with Cult Gaia’s recognizable and classic style. Today, the two great brands have teamed up again to present the first-ever Bratz x Cult Gaia designer dolls, launching October 1, to tell their story of parenthood in a new way.

“Bratz x Cult Gaia dolls are a historic celebration of the origin of both brands, our intrinsic and often unspoken bond, our loyal communities, and all the exciting things yet to come,” said Jasmin Larian. “The Bratz dolls and brand are so special to me and finding the happy medium somewhere between the natural aesthetic of Cult Gaia and the glitzy glam of Bratz feels like a full circle moment.”

Both Bratz x Cult Gaia designer dolls feature fan-favorite Bratz characters, Cloe and Yasmin, who wear stunning pieces that fans will recognize as staples in their favorite Cult Gaia collections. Cloe showcases Cult Gaia-inspired merchandise and accessories including the iconic Parvana top, fashionable Wynn cargo pants, Remi Platform shoes, and Anna and Blanda bracelets. Cloe comes with a second style featuring the Joey Feather Top, cult-favorite Hera shoulder bag, and Bloom earrings. Yasmin doll, who goes by the name Jasmin, wears the Mala structural top, Alma shorts and Irma tote bag, with a second outfit including a Dari dress, Hera sunglasses, Remi Platform shoes and the bag Ark original. Available online in the USA at Walmart, Target and Amazon, as well as at retailers in major global markets, these designer dolls embody the signature spirit of Cult Gaia and the bold bravado of Bratz.

To celebrate Bratz’s 21st birthday in style, brands will head to Goldstein House x Club James in Beverly Hills, CA with an exclusive, star-studded event hosted by Cult Gaia and influencer Stassie Karanikolaou. With “bratty” as the suggested attire, attendees can expect to channel 2000 nostalgia as they flaunt their favorite halter tops, flared bottoms and cutout dresses, along with their unwavering Bratitude. To highlight the brands passion for fashion, Bratz and Cult Gaia have teamed up with Up Next designer Albert Ayal who will dress party guests in looks curated by up-and-coming designers.

Beyond the Cult Gaia collaboration, Bratz continues its 21st anniversary celebration with the launch of new products at online retailers in October: Bratz® Series 2 fashion doll reproductions and Bratz® Girls Nite fashion dolls Out 21st Birthday Edition. Bratz® Series 2 features near-exact reproductions of five dolls originally released between 2002 and 2005, including Meygan, Nevra, Kiana, Kumi and Dylan. Bratz® Girls Nite Out 21st Birthday Edition fashion dolls celebrate 21 years of Bratz with reproductions of the original Bratz® Girls Nite Out™ dolls first released in 2004, including Cloe, Yasmin, Jade, Sasha and Dana.

And just in time to get ready for the celebrations and a great girls night out, Bratz has teamed up with Glamnetic, one of the fastest growing beauty brands in the world, specializing in the categories of magnetic eyelashes, liners and snap nails. Glamnetic recently launched false eyelashes and press-on nails inspired by the unique styles of each of the four main Bratz characters, available online now at Glamentic.com. Glamnetic CEO and Founder Ann McFerran grew up playing with Bratz dolls, which influenced her love of glam and fashion. The collaboration further highlights the influence of the Bratz brand and its continued foray into the fashion and lifestyle spaces.
