Allen’s is officially hiring its own “lollipop testers” as hundreds of sugar lovers rush to apply.

The confectionery brand launched a call for all Australian foodies last month, with applications due to close on Friday.

Although taste testers are not paid, they will receive a huge amount of free lollipops and must be 18 years or older.

The online application form crashed over the weekend, with Allen confirming they were experiencing ‘technical difficulties’ from the mass of Australians wanting to apply.

Applicants are asked to provide their contact details, if they have any allergies and their favorite pacifier.

Allen’s spokeswoman, Joyce Tan, said the role was the “best job ever” for lollipop lovers.

“It will be a combination of old favourites, so we will continue to make sure people love our products, but also the new products we have brought to market to make sure we hit the mark with our new ones as well,” she told Seven News.

“People can really control the future of lollipops.”

In addition to good news for chocolate lovers, KitKat will start looking for taste testers this week.
